Ragnarock was founded in 1975 in Humlebæk by Joachim Clausen, who is its director. Ragnarock and the Dramaschool (Dramaskolen) have more than 100 participants, primarily from the local area between the ages 7 and 24. The main focus point is theatre and music based on many years of experience and collaboration with other theatres, particularly The Odin Theatre in Holstebro.

There are no auditions for joining Ragnarock. Everyone is welcome to join and become a part of developing the next theatre project with the director of the group.

Ragnarock enjoys collaborations with other countries from around the world through carefully planned student exchange trips. The students travel in each other countries performing collaborative theatre productions. Some of the countries Ragnarock has worked with are, Brazil, South Africa, Australia, England, Iceland, Italy, Greenland, the Faroe Islands, Norway, Sweden, Finland and the Shetland IIslands.
